Joanne Carras

Ms. Carras is a Executive Vice President with BCREM Capital. She oversees the firm’s Public & Private Advisory Development Incentives

Ms. Carras has had a successful professional career with forty-three plus years in the public and private sectors, while concentrating on financing and real estate development.

Ms. Carras spent nearly half of her career in the public sector. Previous positions include, elected Council Member serving Los Angeles County, Asst. Deputy Mayor for the City of Los Angeles, overseeing the Economic Development program and managing the LA Business Team. This was preceded by a 10-year tenure with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

Ms. Carras offers client’s decades of development and construction experience. She is an expert at navigating developers and projects to higher yields by leveraging public sector assets.

Ms. Carras spends her time in Los Angeles, New York and Phoenix and is a proud mom to her New York University sophomore, who is pursuing a degree in real estate development.
